Privacy statement
Jonker-Huissen B.V. values your privacy. This statement explains which personal data we process, why, and how long we keep it.
Which data we process
When you contact us via the contact form or by email, we process the data you provide yourself: your name, email address, telephone number, the make you specify and the content of your message. In addition, our web servers record technical data, such as your IP address, for the security and operation of the website.
What we use your data for
We use your data solely to handle your question or request and to contact you. We do not use your data for other purposes and do not sell it to third parties.
Web shop, orders and account
If you place an order via the web shop, we process the data needed to fulfil that order: your first and last name, email address, telephone number, invoice and delivery address and, if you order as a business, your company name and VAT number. We also process the registration or chassis number you provide, so that we can check whether the part fits your vehicle, as well as the order details themselves: the parts ordered, the amount, the payment method and the status.
Payment is handled by payment service provider Mollie B.V. You enter your payment details directly with Mollie. We only receive the payment status, the payment method used and a payment reference. Mollie processes your payment data under its own privacy policy.
If you create an account, we store your name, contact details and your order history so that you can track your orders and do not have to enter your details again each time. You can change your details yourself and ask us to delete your account.
If you have put parts in your cart and have not completed the order, we send you a single reminder by email. We only do this if you are logged in, because otherwise we do not know your email address. It is a service message about your own cart, not advertising. If you would rather not receive that reminder, let us know or empty your cart.
The legal basis for this processing is the performance of the purchase agreement. We keep order and invoice data for seven years, because tax retention rules require us to do so. We keep account data until you ask us to delete the account.
Searching by registration number (RDW)
If you search by registration number, we retrieve the public vehicle data from the RDW, the Dutch vehicle authority, in order to show the make, model, fuel type and year of manufacture. We do not send any data about you along with that request. We keep the registration number requested in a temporary cache for a short time to make the website faster.
Retention period
We do not keep your data longer than necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, or for as long as required by law.
Sharing with third parties
We only share your data with parties that help us provide our service, such as our hosting provider, and only to the extent necessary. We make agreements with these parties about the careful handling of your data.
Embedded map (Google Maps)
On our website we show a map view from Google Maps (Street View), including on the About us and Contact pages. When you visit a page with that map, your browser loads content from Google. In doing so, Google may process data such as your IP address and place cookies. The privacy policy of Google applies to this processing. We have no control over this processing by Google.
Website statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics 4 to see how our website is used: which pages are visited, which parts are viewed and where visitors drop out. This allows us to improve the site. We only place these statistics cookies after you have given permission in the cookie notice. If you decline, your browser loads nothing from Google and nothing is measured.
If you give permission, Google places cookies and processes data about your visit, including your IP address, your device and browser, the pages visited and the parts viewed. With an order we also pass on the order number and the amount, so that we know which visits lead to a sale. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google, the data is deleted after 14 months and we do not use it for advertising. You can withdraw your permission at any time via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page.
Your rights
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You may also object to the processing. To do so, contact us at info@jonkerhuissen.com or by phone at +31 26 325 9123.
Filing a complaint
If you have a complaint about the way we handle your data, you can report it to us. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
